The Center for Cognitive Aging and Memory held their 2nd Annual Research Day on Could 17. Half of the day included the presentation of analysis by trainees in labs throughout the campus that research cognitive ageing. Samm Smith, a graduate scholar in Dr. Sara Burke’s lab, took first place and a prize of $300 for her poster titled “Compensation or Competitors: Stratal-Hippocampal Dynamics in Outdated Age.” Samm Smith is introduced by CAM administrators Drs. Sara Burke and Adam Woods, because the first place winner of the poster presentation.
Second place, and a prize of $250, went to Jori Waner, a graduate scholar within the lab of Dr. Adam Woods. Waner’s poster was titled “Connecting Memory and Useful Mind Networks in Older Adults: A Resting State fMRI Examine Jori Waner presents her poster, which took 2nd place, at CAM Research Day.
